Vibe Cooking Lentil Curry
I cooked lentils and have figured a decent recipe/ingredient mix.
For a batch you will need:
500g green lentils
Soy sauce, low sodium sauce is cut with vinegar
One onion
3 Garlic cloves
3 bird’s eye chilis
Fresh ginger
Majooram
White pepper
Tomato paste
Lime juice
Tofu 400g
Oil for frying
Ingredients
What to do:
First, boil the green lentils once and drain them after boiling. Do not let them become soft. Set them aside.
Now chop your aromatics (garlic, onion, ginger, chilies) and fry them. Once they are fragrant add the lentil batch and cover with water.
Do the thing
Add the dry spices. Add some lime juice and a good amount of soy sauce. I have figured that self cooked vegetarian food often lacks seasoning. Use a lot of soy sauce. If you want to avoid salt use the low sodium one, keep in mind it is cut with vinegar so it is acidic. DO NOT over do the seasoning. You can taste the stew as it cooks and add more seasoning.
Result
The results looks like slop but tastes decent. It also looks good if paired with white rice.
